Police seek witnesses to crash near Hartfield

Police are seeking witnesses to a collision between a car and a motorcycle that occurred at Colestock Crossroads, the junction of the A264 and the B2026 Hartfield Road, near Hartfield, shortly after 8.30am yesterday morning.

It involved a red BMW 218 car, travelling south and driven by by a 41-year-old man from Greenhithe, Kent, and a green Kawasaki ZZR1400 motorcycle travelling east and ridden by a 25-year-old man from East Grinstead.

Police said the car driver was unhurt but the motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Pembury Hospital, Tunbridge Wells, and detained for treatment to a serious arm injury.
