Police warning over cold callers
Police are urging residents to be cautious and vigilant of cold callers offering to carry out work on your home such as gardening and building work.
A police spokesman said: “We recommend that people do not buy services from unsolicited callers knocking at the door and ask you to report these cold callers to us at the earliest opportunity on 101. If you ever have any concerns about the credentials of somebody at your doorstep or feel you are being pressured into agreeing work which you do not want, shut the door and contact police.”
