Police warning over fake bank notes

Horsham Police is warning residents to stay vigilant after fake bank notes were discovered circulating in West Sussex.

Adur and Worthing Safer Communities Partnership has warned fake £50 and Scottish £20 notes are being used in the area.

The organisation said the notes were being used at service outlets and has asked people to inform the police if they discover a fake.

On Twitter Horsham Police has echoed this warning.

The force said: “Fake bank notes have been used in neighbouring Adur & Worthing. They may start being used in Horsham.”
