Police wired for community issues

PEOPLE living in Adur can now get in touch with their local police officers via the internet.

Anyone visiting the Sussex Police website can enter their postcode to find out who their neighbourhood officers are.

The search brings up information on every police community support officer (PCSO) and neighbourhood specialist constable, complete with photographs, personal profiles and contact details.

The pages also contain community updates, regular news flashes and information about local police stations.

Anyone wanting to contact their local officer or try out the new features of the website should log on to www.sussex.police.uk

People should still call 999 in an emergency, or to report a crime as it is happening, and should use the Sussex Police central number '“ 0845 6070999 '“ to report other crimes and urgent matters.
