Police witness appeal for Goring burglary

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in Goring, in which a series of valuable and sentimental items were stolen.

According to police, the incident is believed to have occurred at a house in Alinora Crescent, where a rear door had been forced open, between Tuesday, June 7, and Friday, June 10.

Items including jewellery, rural Spanish figurines and children’s name tags from birth – worth in excess of £1,000 in total – were stolen during the raid.

Detective constable Gavin Percival, of the Sussex Police Priority Crime Team, said: “It’s important we catch these burglars, who appear to have no regard for anyone’s property.

“If you have any information that could assist, or if you have been offered any items for sale which you believe may be stolen, please come forward.”
