Hide AdBut concerns, including drainage and the need to give the Angmering Advisory Group more time to study the plans, saw the final approval deferred in January.
At a meeting of Arun District Council’s development control committee on Wednesday (February 3), members were told there had been ‘very meaningful dialogue’ with the group and their objections had been ‘taken on board’.
Applicant Barratt David Wilson, though, said no changes would be made but detailed drainage information would be submitted.

Hide AdWhile some of the committee felt the process had been ‘too rushed’ – even suggesting a second deferment – planning officer Michael Eastham did not think any more could be done.
Reminding the committee that the applicant was within all the parameters laid out at the outline stage, he pointed out that changes to the layout, design and landscaping as well as the location of the underground pumping station had already been made.
Mr Eastham added: “They’ve come a long way. The applicant is saying what more needs to be done?”
