Haywards Heath Town Council held its inaugural Community Carols event last week to celebrate its Winter Assistance Campaigns.

The show took place at the Town Hall on Friday, December 16, and was attended by councillors, community group members and organisations from the town.

The event was also a reward for the hardworking local organisations who support individuals and projects in the town.

Councillor Sandy Ellis called the event ‘wonderful’. She said: “Hot mulled wine and hospitality was enjoyed by everyone as we enjoyed popular Christmas songs, carols and hymns provided by the Poppa Roy singers and the Ariel theatre group. The evening came to a close with members of the Ruwach Christian church singing Christmas hymns.”
