Council rules out further changes to Christmas parking charges in Horsham
The council has ruled out any further changes to parking charges over the Christmas period.
Mid Sussex District Council has introduced a flat £1 charge in some of its town centre car parks on the Saturdays leading up to Christmas, but Horsham District Council said this week it has no plans to adopt something similar.
A spokesperson for HDC said: “Horsham District Council is making parking free from 4pm on each of the late night shopping Thursdays and parking continues to be free on Sundays in the council’s Horsham town centre car parks.
“The Hop Oast Park and Ride is also in operation each Saturday giving a further parking option for those who wish to stay in town for a longer period.”
