She said she is 'so passionate' about being a voice for the 'more vulnerable members of our community'.

"I was really really shocked and horrified to hear about West Sussex County Council closing family centres and youth provision in the district," she said.

"This is just appalling especially during these times as young children and new parents with babies will need the support of these centres more than ever as we come out of this lockdown and pandemic.

"I was a breast feeding councillor at the Bognor Regis family Centre in Victoria Drive and I saw how beneficial this facility was to parents with young children and babies."

Amanda said this has 'given me more determination than ever' to win her campaign, adding: "We need councillors at county level who support our young and vulnerable members of our community and not exploit them by making cuts and attempting to save money at their expense.

"As far as I know there has never been a county councillor who is a wheelchair user so this would be a fantastic achievement if I were to be elected."
