PICTURES: Behind the scenes as Eastbourne Winter Garden gets a makeover
Eastbourne’s Winter Garden is currently undergoing a major refurbishment thanks to a £1.6million grant from the South East Local Enterprise Partnership. The Grade 2-listed Victorian pavilion will be restored to its former glory as a cultural destination of regional importance that supports and enhances Eastbourne’s year-round visitor economy. The project will create 50 new jobs and safeguard a further 10, as well as creating 53 construction jobs. We go behind the scenes to see the work that is being done to build a new bar and kitchen, replace toilets, instal a lift and redecorate.
