Former Horsham MP Francis Maude named trade minister in new Government

Former Horsham MP Francis Maude has been appointed a trade minister in Prime Minister David Cameron’s new majority Tory Government.

Mr Maude, who was Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General in the coalition Government from 2010, is expected to receive a peerage and be elevated to the House of Lords.

His official appointment is as a Minister of State at the Foreign Office and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

He was MP for Horsham from 1997 to 2015.
