Have your say on constituency changes

THE Boundary Commission for England wants you to have your say on proposed changes to the electoral constituencies of Horsham and Arundel and South Downs.

Copthorne and Worth ward is proposed to be moved from Horsham constituency to Crawley, so that the Crawley constituency is within five per cent of the electoral quota.

The commission wants to add Plaistow ward, which currently comes under Chichester, to Arundel and South Downs to bring it within five per cent of the electoral quota.

Bolney ward, part of Mid Sussex, could also be added to improve ‘the shape’ of both constituencies.

Consultation continues until December 5 and the commission wants to hear as many views as possible.

A public hearing is being held at the Crowne Plaza, London Gatwick, Langley Drive, Crawley, on October 31 and November 1 where residents’ voices can be heard.
