Thursday’s live event on ITV pitted Prime Minister David Cameron against Labour’s Ed Miliband, the Lib Dem’s Nick Clegg, UKIP’s Nigel Farage, Natalie Bennett of the Green Party, the SNP’s Nicola Sturgeon, and Plaid Cymru’s Leanne Wood.

James Smith, leader of the Something New Party and a parliamentary candidate for Horsham, has uploaded a video of himself answering each of the questions posed to the main party leaders last week.

Mr Smith said: “Why all the fuss over who is in which Leaders’ Debate when we can all just take part online and add our own thoughts?

“That’s exactly what I’m doing here. As voters you deserve to know what I think about the same things that the big parties are being asked in the first Leaders’ Debate.”

Other candidates in Horsham are UKIP’s Roger Arthur, Labour’s Martyn Davis, Jim Duggan of the Peace Party, Darrin Green of the Green Party, Morwen Millson for the Liberal Democrats, the Conservatives’ Jeremy Quin, and independent Jim Rae.
