Independent Ruth O’Keeffe romped home in Lewes, her 2,385 votes way ahead of those achieved by her five rivals put together.

She held her seat with a 45 per cent turn out of the 8,874 possible votes.

Ruth O’Keeffe (Independent) 2,385 (59.5 per cent); Alfie Stirling (Green) 592 (14.8 per cent); Gaby Weiner (Labour) 342 (8.5 per cent); Joyce Dixon Bell (Lib Dem) 305 (7.6 per cent); Donna Edmunds (UK Independence Party) 231 (5.8 per cent); Roy Burman (Conservative) 152 (3.8 per cent).
