Katy Bourne wins Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner post

The Conservative Party candidate Katy Bourne has been elected the Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex it was announced this afternoon (Friday, November 16 2012).

Voters went to the polls yesterday (Thursday November 15) and the count took place in the 13 voting district in the Sussex policing area.

The full results are below.

No candidate got over 50 per cent of the first choice votes, the second choice votes for Mrs Bourne and Labour Candidate Godfrey Daniel were counted and the mother of two had the most votes.

She is a school governor at Oriel High, Crawley and a Mid Sussex District councillor.

She is also National Chairman of the Conservative Women’s Organisation.

Katy Elizabeth Bourne, The Conservative Party Candidate - 20,393 (total 80,028 votes)

Godfrey Daniel, Labour Party Candidate - 14,837 (total 55,602 votes)

Godfrey Daniel, Labour Party Candidate - 40,765 votes (22 per cent)

Tony Armstrong, UKIP 29,327 votes (15 per cent)

David Rogers, Liberal Democrat 20,579 votes (11 per cent)
