Licensing hearing for Hastings bar postponed

A hearing set to review the license of a Hastings bar has been postponed.

On Wednesday (April 28), a Hastings Borough Council licensing panel had been due to consider an application from Sussex Police to cut back operating hours at Crowleys in Havelock Road.

Police had also called for the bar’s licence to be suspended and for a say in appointing a new Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). The bar denies any mismanagement and says the measures proposed are “disproportionate.”
