The plan contains details about a variety of activities, including improving the council’s engagement with the community to make sure council assets are used to benefit residents.

It also lists 27 objectives, which include preserving the rural character and biodiversity of the parish, as well as improving the accessibility of face-to-face appointments with councillors and parish staff.

The business plan also provides information on a ‘focussed approach’ where councillors work in teams to cover specific areas of the council’s responsibilities.

Trevor Webster, chairman of the council, said that the ‘forward-looking proposals’ were being launched as normality returns after the Covid lockdown period.

“This means that there is an opportunity to improve community engagement and contribute to activities across the parish,” Trevor said.

“Important to this approach will be to ensure that the way we work is open and accessible and that the plan remains relevant to the residents of the parish,” he added.
