An application to replace the windows and doors and provide a new render and brick slip system to the walls of the dining hall and dance building has been submitted.

This would mean the building would match the new structures and other existing buildings at the school.

The existing windows being replaced are in poor condition and provide poor insulation.

According to the application they ‘have come to the end of their servicable life and replacement is the sole option’.

The new windows will maintain the style of the current ones but improve insulation levels.

The application adds: “The current finishes to the walls are precast concrete cladding panels and do not match the finishes to the walls on the remaining buildings at the school.

“The brick slip system proposed for the single storey sections would match the bricks used in other buildings on site whilst the proposed render system would mimic the aesthetic of the render systems adopted on the newer buildings.”
