North Horsham planning and transport decisions

The refurbishment of the Roffey Corner Trafic Signals on the Crawley Road Harwood Road junction will begin next Monday, July 1, and will last for approximately 10 weeks, it was noted by North Horsham Planning, Environment and Transport Committee on June 20.

The scheme will include updating existing equipment and cabling, replanting on the planted islands, renewing footways and pavings, and new puffin crossings.

Parish councillor Ray Turner, who was in the meeting elected as the committee chair for this year, said: “It’s the second time this year we are going to have trafic congestion on Crawley Road.

“It will involve a certain amount of rat-running.”
