Housebuilder Redrow’s new development at the nine-acre site along Yapton Road will be named Windmill Views.

Work will begin in the coming weeks, with the official launch expected in early 2021.

The development will include a mixture of two to four-bedroom properties, with 30 per cent of the homes available at affordable tenure.

It will also feature green open space, a cycle path and walkway which will connect it to the wider community.

The developer will contribute towards new community facilities, the local library, education and the fire service as part of the Section 106 agreement.

Craige Burden, Head of Planning at Redrow Southern Counties, said: “Barnham is a fantastic community and we’re thrilled to be delivering our second development here, following the popular Ashdown Vale, which has now sold out.

“Once the development launches in January 2021, there will be a wide variety of homes on offer to suit a range of buyers and lifestyles, from two- to four-bedroom houses, all benefitting from high quality design and spacious layouts.

“Located in the heart of the village, residents will benefit from easy access to the wider community and transport links, while only a stone’s throw from Barnham’s glorious surroundings of countryside and coast.”

It comes after Redrow recently secured planning permission for 145 homes in Yapton.

The developer has also put forward plans for a development in Chichester and a large-scale re-development at Ford airfield.
