Developer Catesby Estates is seeking outline planning permission for the units on land off Glebelands north of Drovers Lane, which makes up part of New Place Nurseries.

The site is included in the emerging neighbourhood plan with a desired layout of several smaller development parcels of between ten and 25 homes, each defined by the ‘existing structural landscape features’.

According to the developer: “Land north east of Glebelands represents a unique opportunity to deliver a high quality development of new homes for Pulborough in line with the aspirations of the neighbourhood plan.

“Utilising the individual qualities of the site and drawing from local inspiration, the scheme will create a distinctive development in keeping with the village vernacular and landscape character of the area, to become a positive element in the wider neighbourhood.

“The scheme will create investment in the local community and provide a variety of new housing types and tenures to ensure the ongoing vitality of the village community.

“New homes will be constructed to modern construction standards and a new area for children’s play will provide a valuable resource for families in the north of the village.”
