Public meeting called on 2,500 North of Horsham homes plan

The North Horsham Parish Council meeting will be held at North Heath Hall in St Mark’s Lane on Monday September 9 from 7.30pm to discuss Horsham District Council’s draft housing plan.

The document is currently out for public consultation and proposes 2,500 homes North of Horsham, with 500 homes each in Southwater and Billingshurst.

This will be the only item on the council’s agenda and the public forum will be extended to take account of all those who may wish to speak and express their views.

Each speaker in the public forum will be limited to three minutes per person and groups of people are encouraged to join forces and appoint one speaker for the group, so that points are not repeated and the meeting flows smoothly.

Under the Fire Regulations, there is a seating capacity at North Heath Hall for 240 people.

If attendance is above that number, it is regretted that people will have to be turned away.

The meeting will end at 10pm and if necessary, there will be further limited opportunities for the public to speak on the issue at another meeting of the Parish Council on Monday September 16 at 7.30pm in North Heath Hall.

Alternatively, you can look at a hard copy in the Parish Office at Roffey Millennium Hall, Crawley Road, where there is also an introductory visual display provided by HDC.
