Three MPs to speak at referendum public meeting in Haywards Heath

Three MPs will speak at a public meeting on the referendum in Haywards Heath tomorrow (Wednesday June 15).

Tim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, as well as energy minister Andrea Leadsom, and Lewes MP Maria Caulfield will all be attending the event in Clair Hall.

Doors open at 6.30pm and speeches will start at 7.30pm.

Mr Loughton said: “Andrea has emerged as one of the stars of the referendum campaign articulating the case for leave with great knowledge, authority and above all calmness.

“As someone with a distinguished record in the City who then became city minister in Government she is particularly well placed to answer questions from local commuters who work in the financial services industry.

“Andrea also founded the Fresh Start Group of Conservative MPs, now chaired by myself, which has spent the last few years producing extensive research into the whole question of reform of the EU.

“We will also be joined by our Lewes colleague, Maria Caulfield MP, and invite questions on any aspects of this important debate which is the most important question we will face in generation.

“I am really looking forward to the event.

“Hopefully, we will be able to persuade everyone to Vote Leave and take back control of our borders, of our security and of our democracy.”
