UKIP takes Seaford from the Liberal Democrats

UKIP candidate Frank Carstairs has won Seaford Sutton, knocking the Liberal Democrats into third place.

He took 39.7 per cent (1,189) of the votes with Sam Adeniji for the Conservatives gaining second place with 30.9 percent (927) of the votes.

LDem Eleas Hussain gained 18.6 per cent (557), Peter Hambly for Labour 6.4 per cent (191) and Patti Brooke 4.4 per cent (133) for the Green Party.

The turnout was 40 per cent.
