Voters go to the polls in leaders former ward

A BY-ELECTION is taking take place today (Thursday February 16) for a vacancy on Horsham District Council following the shock resignation of former leader Robert Nye in December.

Five candidates are contesting the Itchingfield, Slinfold and Warnham seat.

The by-election polling hours will run from 7am to 10pm at three polling stations.

An HDC spokesperson said: “The by-election results will be declared by midnight on polling day and a copy of the results will be posted on the count venue door, which will be Park Barn in Horsham opposite Horsham District Council offices, and online at www.horsham.gov.uk.”
