Why I should be MP for Hastings: Rod Bridger, English Democrats

Rod Bridger sets out his vision for Hastings

I am an ordinary working man, who is angry because I have been abused, ignored and treated with arrogance by politicians.

I am angry that politicians have treated the country with contempt, lining their pockets at the expense of the people.

I am angry at how the Lib/Lab/Con Party will continue to give away our sovereignty to faceless and unelected bureaucrats in Brussels, but refuse to honour their promises of a referendum.

I am angry because we pay 41 million per day to those bureaucrats and get nothing back except legislation designed to whittle away our civil liberties and freedoms.

I am angry because the English taxpayer hands over 49 billion per year to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, to allow them to have free prescriptions, free residential care for the elderly, free university education, free access to life -aving drugs that are refused in England.

British politics is broken. The experiment has lasted 65 years and has failed. Hastings deserves an MP who will put the people of Hastings first and not their Party Masters. What do the party mandarins know of Hastings?

It's time for honesty, common sense and democracy. It's time for Hastings to awake '“ vote English Democrats.
