Popular dog show at Ancaster Court

It's one of the canine highlights of the year - the dog show at Ancaster Court nursing home.

Fun for anyone who enjoys dogs, it's a fun event which will be held on July 5 at Ancaster Court in Hastings Road, and will include a wide range of classes, from dog with waggiest tale to cutest bitch.

Anyone is welcome and registration starts at 1pm, with the show itself from 2-4pm.

Manager Alison Sowerby said: "There will be 12 classes including breed classes, companion class, and novelty classes. Entries are 1 per class

"All proceeds to Pets as Therapy (PAT dogs) and The Cinnamon Trust - who arrange for your pet to be fostered, cared for or even just walked if you are admitted to hospital or a care home.

"There will also be a tombola stall, teas, coffees and ice creams. And some free Bupa goodie bags!"
