Popular GP died after hitting head at tennis

A POPULAR Worthing GP died after falling and hitting his head dring a tennis match , an inquest was told.

Dr Edwin Cameron (61) who worked at the Lime Tree Surgery in Findon Valley was playing a doubles game at Field Place, Goring on Saturday November 15, last year when tragedy struck.

He died the following day at Worthing Hospital after suffering extensive head injuries.

A statement from friend Geoff Oliver, Dr Cameron's partner in the game, said the ball was played deep down the centre of the court. Mr Cameron, of Grand Avenue, went to take the show but the ball was never returned.
