Popular organist goes

Worshippers at Bognor Regis Methodist Church have said goodbye to their popular organist.

Ronald Thompson has played in services and on other occasions at the Waterloo Square church since he moved to the town from London in 1992. He has also given a number of recitals in the past few years with a varied repertoire.

Ron was previously the organist and choirmaster at Wesley's Chapel in the City of London. He played there for 37 years, including the memorable occasion attended by the Queen when the chapel was re-opened after a major refurbishment in 1978.

The church is looking for competent organists to assist with playing for services and other occasions. Contact the minister, the Rev Gavin Hancocks, on 01243 826425 for details.
