POST OFFICE RAM RAID

Newick post office was ram raided at 2am yesterday, July 27.

A green Citreon Picasso, reported stolen from Burgess Hill since July 22, was driven into the front of the post office and used to drag the ATM machine. This was unsuccessful.

The vehicle was seen to drive away from the scene along the A272 towards Haywards Heath.

A short time later the stolen Citreon Picasso was found abandoned a short distance away.

Police suspect there were at least two suspects and possibly two vehicles involved in the raid.

They are appealing for any witnesses who may have any information relating to the stolen Citreon Picasso and its whereabouts since it was stolen on July 22.
