Postie spots fire while on rounds in Felpham

A postman dialled 999 after he saw smoke coming out of a letterbox at a home in Felpham.

The postal worker also reported the fire alarm was sounding at the home in Bereweeke Road when he raised the alarm shortly before noon on Tuesday.

Firefighters from Bognor arrived on the scene to find a small blaze had burned itself out after a pan was left on the hob of the cooker. They used fans to ventilate the home and left the scene at 12.17pm.
