Power cut as snow falls in Brighton and Hove

The lights went out in some parts of Brighton last night (February 27) as a power cut hit the area.

UK Power Network told residents on Twitter that an 'an underground cable fault' was affecting the BN1 area, and that engineers were being sent out.

Reports of the power cut started just after 9am, with residents near Preston Park, Fiveways and Seven Dials affected. The problem was resolved by 10.30pm.

The power cut come as snow fell in Brighton and Hove, with temperatures reaching minus three.
