Power cuts in Crawley and Horsham

UK Power Networks engineers were called to Harwood Road, Horsham, at 6.31am and Fleming Way, Crawley, at 6.58am today (November 3).

The company has estimated power will be restored to affected areas by 9am in Crawley and 9.30am in Horsham.

Horsham and Broadbridge Heath residents’ power cut was yesterday afternoon (November 2).

UK Power Networks said it could be the early hours of today before the electricity is switched back on.

“Our engineers are still working on the repair,” said the company at 7.51pm.

“There’s a lot of work to complete to get this fixed, so we have decided to use temporary generators to provide power while our engineers carry on with their work.


“To allow time for us to get the generators out to your area and connect them, we’re now aiming to have your power on by midnight.

“We’re sorry to change the timeframe and will let you know when the generators arrive.”

At 7.20pm, the company said the problem was down to a fault with an underground cable.
