Praise for parish book

Leading churchmen have praised a magazine produced by the Catholic church in

celebrate the Millennium.

Letters from the Archbishop of Westminster and the Bishop of Arundel and

Brighton to parish

priest Father David Sutcliffe say the magazine is beautifully produced .

The archbishop, Cardinal Cormac Murphy O Conner, contributed a foreword to

the 32-page

glossy publication and wrote, after receiving a copy, that it was a real

credit to the priest and to

the parish. The bishop, the Rt Rev Kieran Conry, said it was an excellent

Millennium record of

parish life; a portrait of a warm and vibrant community.

Three parish chairmen have been involved in the project and were present at

the magazine s

launch on Sunday which was accompanied by an exhibition of photographs taken

throughout the

year 2000.
