Pre-school pre-Christmas party

Last Friday there was a Mini Christmas Concert at Sedlescombe Pre-School. It was so wonderful to see the Village hall full of local friends and families, all supporting our charity. They welcomed Mrs Ham and the Year 6 children from Sedlescombe primary school who sang a selection of Christmas songs as well as Father Kevin and his Travelling Crib. The staff and children had been practising very hard for their Christmas performance and looked very festive in some wonderful outfits.

Christmas had indeed come a little early with a presentation of a cheque for £200 from the Sedlescombe Societies Association. The charity is in desperate need of funds to buy equipment such as cars, scooters and bikes that develop a range of physical skills that are so important to children of this age - some new vehicles have already been ordered.

The Pre-School is celebrating it’s 20th Anniversary and although charities nationwide are facing uncertain futures in this current climate, it has always received support from the families in Sedlescombe and they are busy that we are planning for the next 20 years!
