Precept frozen for Pagham residents

PARISH councillors in Pagham have again frozen the amount they take from households.

The council members agreed at Tuesday’s meeting to keep their share of the overall council tax bill the same for the second year in a row.

They will be asking homeowners to contribute £79.438 in the 12 months from April. This equals £30.51 for a band D property.

Cllr Ray Radmall, the council’s chairman, said: “We are being very frugal.

“We believe this is the right way to go because we do not want to overburden our residents.

“Leaving our precept unchanged amounts to a modest fall in real terms when inflation is taken into account.”
