Preparations are go for Cranleigh Show

There will be something for everyone at this year’s Cranleigh Show, which is taking place at Cranleigh Showground on August 3.

The ever-popular annual event boasts a record number of entries in this year’s sheep championships, with cattle, pigs and goats also arriving next week.

Local riders are encouraged to compete in the horse show, while the Companion Dog Show is set to show off some magnificent mutts.

A number of children’s activities including a quiz will also be available.

150 volunteers are this week marking out the ground, setting up the marquees and preparing for the arrival of the animals.

Cranleigh Show began in 1947 and moved to the current 75-acre site in 1982.

Discounted tickets can be purchased online at www.cranleighshow.co.uk, costing £11 for adults and £4 for children from 5-16. Tickets purchased on the day will be £14 for adults and £6 for children, and under 5s go free.
