Prestigious green flag for Littlehampton park

Mewsbrook Park has received a prestigious Green Flag award for the seventh year in a row, as one of the UK’s best parks for being welcoming, well-maintained and involving the community.

Paul Dendle, Arun District Council’s cabinet member for the environment, said: “These awards speak volumes for the hard work that has been put in by members of staff, local residents and our many active and committed friends groups to create clean, safe and green environments that people can enjoy and be proud of.”

Mewsbrook’s active friends group works hard to make the park what it is, and has just launched a new tree walk, which takes visitors around the 10 acre site, highlighting the variety of species of trees and wildlife to see there.
