Pub fight: three men arrested for suspected attempted murder

THREE men aged 20, 24 and 40 from the Etchingham area and a 24-year-old man from Wadhurst were arrested on suspicious of attempted murder after a fight at a country pub. They were bailed until March.

Police were called to a ‘disturbance’ in the early hours of Saturday (February 12) after a row betweeen two groups outside the Queen’s Head, Rye Road, Hawkhurst, Kent.

The men were arrested after two people were hit by a car during the fight. A 41-year-old man was taken to hospital with multiple fractures and serious leg injuries. A 22 year old man suffered minor injuries and was later allowed to leave hospital.

Police also seized a vehicle from the scene.
