Public meeting to debate fire service cuts in Emsworth

Plans to cut Emsworth’s fire-fighting coverage will come under scrutiny when scores of people gather for a public meeting.

Emsworth Residents’ Association has organised the meeting at the town’s Community Centre in North Street. Firefighters will attend, as well as county leaders.

It comes as the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service is looking to save money.

The service has put forward a proposals including cutting the number of firefighters in Emsworth.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm on Monday, October 26.
