Edith has seen much change during her life which began in Portsmouth, where she spent her childhood. Moving to Midhurst when she married and brought up her six children, her best memories of this time were the beach holidays.

Hillside Lodge care home has been home for Edith for just over a year. She lives there with 60 other residents needing full-time care, but Edith is still able to remain independent despite living with dementia.

She still enjoys watching soaps on the TV and still loves pampering, enjoying having her hair done each week and nails painted regularly.

Team leader Mary Wilson commented with a smile: “We love Edith, she’s never apologetic about speaking her mind and can converse in a very colourful way, there is never a never a dull moment when Edith is around.”
