The workshop, which involved teaching the children classic circus skills including plate spinning, juggling and hula hooping, was held ahead of the circus coming to the school this Sunday.

Jenny Liu from St Mary’s School PTA and organiser of the circus visit said: “This was a fantastic opportunity for the children to really get involved. It was great fun and a chance for the children to engage in an activity that they wouldn’t normally have at school.

“We are really looking forward to the culmination of the visit from Circus Pazaz when they bring a circus show to us in the big top later this month.”

Circus Pazaz is known as the little circus with big fun, and will be on St Mary’s School field on July 17 with performances at 1pm and 3pm. It will entertain you with unicycles, jugglers, magic, the trapeze and Clown Zaz.

Each show lasts for around one hour and tickets are priced £6 each or £20 for a family of four. They can be bought from Comyn & James (Pulborough), The Crown Inn (Cootham) and Coco’s Style Salon (Billingshurst).

All proceeds from the show will go to the PTA at St Mary’s School in Pulborough to help fund much needed equipment for the children.
