Pupils commemorated the anniversary of World War One by planting poppy seeds.

To mark the 100th anniversary of World War One, pupils at Grovelands School in Hailsham planted the seeds in plant pots.

Next year it is hoped the poppies will flower and a commemorative photo will be taken of them to mark the occasion.

A spokeswoman for the school said: “Every child will then be able to have their poppies to take home.”
