Pupils return to earth after space learning journey

PUPILS at Pebsham school are preparing to return to earth having been in outer-space for their Summer Learning Journey.

Head teacher Pat Strickson said staff and pupils had all enjoyed the variety of different activities which turned into a stellar learning experience.

Pat said: "We've been into Space for our Summer Learning Journey. We took off in the 'Pebsham Patriot' on the 4th June. Each class have discovered and named a star and then explored it. We've investigated the surface and made models."

"We painted Starscapes, wrote stories and reports and of course dressed up. We've had a Planetarium in school and learnt about the stars. Last Friday you may have had reports of Aliens on the seafront...that was us!!! We did a sponsored walk, and then had a Lunar Lunch at Galley Hill!"

"This Wednesday we return to Earth and our Parents are invited into our classes to see our hard work and hear songs we've learnt, and see dances we've made up as well as find out all about the stars. We've had a Cosmic cinema, star games in the playground and super sensory experiences. It's been a stellar learning time!"
