Pupils treated to film club screening

MORE than 150 movie-mad youngsters were treated to a day of film-based fun at Castledown Primary School.

Pupils were joined by life-sized cardboard cut-outs of James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and Charlie Chaplin for the event, organised by the Filmclub charity. They were treated to showings of the Laurel and Hardy classics Our Wife and Helpmates on giant screens, complete with popcorn. Headteacher Neil Small said the Filmclub scheme had been a “tremendous success”.
