Calli, who is owned by pet care advisor Sophie Thompson from the Pets at Home store, has been on the small screen since the advert first aired on May 9.

Sophie said: “Filming the advert was a fantastic experience and I was thrilled Calli was chosen to take part. Seeing my pet on national television is really special.

“Calli is a Bengal and such an outgoing pet. She wakes me up every morning and I’m sure she’ll be excited to see herself on television.”

Scott Jefferson, marketing director at Pets at Home, added: “Our new television advert not only champions our store colleagues such as Sophie and their training but also features their very own pets.

“Some 92 per cent of our employees own a pet themselves so not only are they qualified to offer pet care advice to customers, but being experienced pet owners themselves they can empathise with the everyday joys and challenges being a pet-owner brings.”
