Quartet deny affray charges

Four men have denied causing affray following an incident at a barbecue in Burwash.

Glen Curtain, 27, of Birch Way, Heathfield, Simon Wayne Morris, 46, of Beauford Road, Horam, Glen Wooden, 21, of Downsview, Heathfield, and Lee Wooden, 35, of Downsview, Heathfield, appeared in the dock at Hastings Magistrates Court last Friday.

The four all pleaded not guilty to a charge of affray after an incident at the gathering in Burwash on May 31.

The men will now face trial at Lewes Crown Court.

The next hearing will take place on October 29 at Hastings Magistrates Court and all four were granted unconditional bail.
