Radio 1 DJ to join Rumble Jumble fun

Radio 1 DJ and former Millais student, Gemma Cairney, will be jumping on the mic at feel good event ‘Rumble Jumble’ on Saturday, February 23 at Millais School.

Entry is free to the event which will be held between noon and 5pm, but people are asked to bring a bag of rumble jumble which is aimed at rasing money for local charities Sands Horsham and District and Age UK Horsham District.

The Millais ‘fashion police girls’ have organised music, cakes, tombola, a candy buffet, a team of hairdressers from Studio 2, make-up artists, an event cafe, a raffle and some catwalk with fashion police Naomi and Erica instrumental in promoting the event and inviting other local schools.

Millais girls Mollie and Ellie have gathered raffle prizes from Junction 33, a hamper from Mr Simms, a professional photography portrait session from Jodie at Entwined Photography, a children’s party candy buffet, a martini glass full of sweets from Special Creations by Jane. and a free carpet cleaning for a three bedroom house from checkatrader Clive.

DJ Ryan from Ryan’s Disco will also be on the decks, with Gemma Cairney on the mic mid afternoon introducing special guests after hot-footing it from her weekend Radio 1 breakfast show.

Gemma, who was once a stylist to the stars, will be scouting for some willing guests for a makeover.
