RAFA Coffee Morning

The regular coffee morning held by the Bexhill branch of the Royal Air Force Association is getting busier all the time.

Locals are flocking to the Albatross Club to enjoy the social occasion and help raise money for the running of the club itself.

Chairman David Stevens said: "We have been running this coffee morning for the last 30 years but now attendance is really up - we are very pleased with the coffee morning which is for branch funds...we are responsible for all the repairs which is why we need the money."

The event always features sale tables laden with bargains.

The bric-a-brac stall was run by Maisie Gillespie, both former WWAF/WRAF personnel.

Maisie said: "It's a good event - we hold it once a month on the first Wednesday morning of the month. We get a good crowd in - but we could always do with more."
