RAFA coffee morning takes flight

A SPRING fair held by the Bexhill branch of the Royal Air Force Association proved a soaraway success on Saturday with £480 being raised for the charity's annual Wings Appeal.

Nationally, the appeal brings in some 2 million a year to help RAFA offer friendship, help and support to past and present RAF personnel and their families who find themselves in need.

Ken Igglesden, for the Bexhill branch, said: "This year has special significance for us, being the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and so it was good to have such a splendid result."
